There are days when I wish my life was as uncomplicated as an infants. Feed me, change me, put me in a toasty warm blanket and cuddle me up.
But then reality strikes. I am wrapped in a blanket watching TV, for a moment forgetting about my financial stresses and repetitive activities of daily living when I hear there is no hot water and find out that it is because the hot water tank crapped out.
So I put my big girl panties on, roll up my sleeves and get the job done before my husband comes home because at this moment he is the sole provider for our family and the last thing we need is for him to miss work.
By the time the job is done — 4 trips to Lowes — about 6 hours later, I can’t wait to take a hot shower. Really, life can still be about the simple pleasures.
